Ascorbyl glucoside is the result of the union of a sugar molecule (glucose) to a vitamin C molecule (ascorbic acid) by means of an enzymatic reaction, thus protecting the -OH group from oxidation. Obtained biotechnologically and accepted by Ecocert as a natural cosmetic ingredient. It is the most stable form of Vitamin C that does not oxidise in the light and thanks to its neutral pH it is suitable for sensitive skin that does not tolerate pure vitamin C.
